The iPhone 14 Pro Max is truly the best of everything in the world of iPhones today. It has the best design, the biggest screen, the best cameras, and the smartest display. You’ll pay for all of this, but if you’re determined to get an iPhone and want an absolute top-of-the-line device, this is definitely the handset for you. If you can live with a slightly smaller display and want less weight in your pocket, we can recommend the more compact 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro instead.

You already know the new things the dynamic Island the bigger cameras the space black the Deep Purple crash detection. Pros and Cons
Design and Build
Let’s begin by talking about the build and the design now. I gotta tell you that I’ve been drawn to the stainless steel style for quite some time, I really love the iPhone 13 Pro Max last year and it retains here with the iPhone 14 pro-Max. So definitely really love the stainless steel kind of look now if you look at this graphite iPhone 13 Pro Max you can see this is definitely black on the edges. But it’s still kind of gray on the back hence the space is kind of gray and then black on the sides so not a fully black phone.
It’s not like the jet black iPhone 7 plus of back in the day but I still, really enjoyed this color. I think it definitely matches you know the more professional cameras and things like that kind of look so really enjoyed that I’ve been really enjoying kind of just how this phone feels also just like I enjoyed how premium the iPhone 13 Pro Max felt but it’s still got some weight to it. I mean this phone right here the 14 pro-Max weighs 240 grams, so it’s not a light phone.
I haven’t really enjoyed that the camera bulges out a little bit more now so my cases have thicker humps as well you can see when I put a new case on, they’re gonna have a thicker back so definitely, that is not quite as nice. I think like some of the other phones so it means it’ll rock on a table more if you’re typing.
When it comes to the display it’s been pretty great just like the iPhone 13 Pro Max it gets brighter though at the peak brightness so regular day-to-day use. It’s not really going to be too much brighter still a thousand nits but when it hits the sunlight you can definitely tell this thing will crank up a little bit higher. It’ll have to detect that through the ambient lighting but overall if you want a little bit more brightness Outdoors.
This is the phone for you that brightness however has been shown to drain a little bit more battery so keep that in mind versus last year’s phone we do have true tone night shift dark mode, but sometimes just like other iPhones if this phone gets too warm under that high brightness, the iPhone will automatically dim it so I don’t like that.
However I do like the overall color saturation, it’s still well balanced like apple usually does not over-saturated nothing like The colors look amazing as this is OLED, and contrast ratios are beautiful now.
Dynamic Island let’s talk about it a little bit here with this display. I don’t know what it is about this Dynamic Island, I just have to be honest with you though my eye just is drawn to it like even if I’m not trying to look at it. I just keep looking at it.
Introducing Dynamic Island, a true Apple innovation that encompasses hardware and software and everything in between. It brings up music, sports scores, FaceTime, and more—all without distracting you from what you’re doing.
iPhone 14 pro-Max launched with the iOS 16. That’s really what we’re looking at here and we’ve seen iOS 16 on multiple other iPhones already and it basically runs the same. You have your customizable lock screens and stuff like that on the lock screen. That’s the big new feature Focus modes remain watch OS 9 pairs very nicely with this and just overall the customization of wallpapers and things is pretty nice also with the 14 Pros you get your special wallpapers which Apple removed from the other iPhones.
I don’t know why they did that they removed their stock wallpapers so that’s pretty nice here you can finally see your battery percentage again not like you couldn’t see it before but Apple finally brought it back so that’s nice overall software will be updated for several years to come.
iPhone 14 Pro raises the bar for what 48 megapixels can do – delivering 4x the resolution in ProRAW for stunning detail in every crop.
If we scroll down to the camera when you go over to formats you do have the apple prores or Pro raw and prores resolution right there, Pro raw resolution up to 48 megapixels, but for the most part, you’re going to be shooting at the 12 megapixels.
48 Megapixel Main Camera
The iPhone 14 Pro Max cameras are the same as the pro model, there is a new 48-megapixel main camera with a quadruple bare filter and it has second-generation sensor stabilization and full-focus pixels. In addition, there is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that has a new sensor and lens and the same like last year it has autofocus.
There’s a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto lens and a LIDAR scanner for portraits and focus, as the main camera has a quadruple bare filter, it gathers pixels four to one to produce 12-megapixel photos by default are basically the same as what we’ve seen on iPhones over the past few years.
There’s plenty of detail, low noise, accurate colors, and excellent contrast, dynamic range is reasonable without going overboard our only real complaint is the Folio transition, it’s heavily processed and anything but natural looking. You can also shoot in the full resolution of the main camera’s 48 megapixels in RAW format and compared to the resolution of other quad-camera phones.
This one is probably the best we’ve seen if you take one of those 48-megapixel photos and scale it back down to 12. The results are class-leading, impressively detailed with natural-looking noise. to find the colors are gorgeous and the contrast and dynamic range are spots on,
iPhone 14 pro-Max can provide twice the lossless zoom by cropping from a 48-megapixel image. These images look great with an excellent amount of detail even better than some dedicated telephoto lenses when shooting portraits, the phone has a 2x zoom by default and the results are great.
The subjects look sharp and well defined, in addition, the separation is perfect and the blurred background looks natural. You also have the option to take portraits with the main camera with a single-time zoom or telephoto lens 3 times zoom for a different perspective.
The triple telephoto lens does not disappoint in zooming point of view, the images are detailed and sharp with a natural look and pleasing color rendering.
They are accurate, the contrast is high and the dynamic range is now wide enough to ultra-wide, its photos are some of the best you can get of this type the camera is equipped with sp mouthful of details with perfect distortion correction and good sharpness throughout the frame and in the corners.
Color reproduction contrast and dynamic range are solid for other cameras because the ultra-wide camera has autofocus, you can use it for close-up photography. Shots from up to four centimeters are good with nice detail and color and low noise.
Low Light Photography
In low light Apple network mode starts automatically, photos from the main camera are great, there is a lot of detail and low noise, exposure is just brighter than reality and you get well-defined highlights as well as slightly brightened shadows.
You can turn off night mode and the resulting photos are darker with more noise and dark areas, when night mode works three times, the zoom images will come from the telephoto lens, the photos offer impressive detail, natural-looking sharpness, and low noise.
iPhone 14 pro-Max can record 4K video up to 60 FPS with the selfie camera and all three rear cameras and all modes feature extended dynamic range. Also thanks to smart HDR the main camera shoots excellent 4K videos with lots of fines details and a natural rendering without over-focusing
The colors are vivid no noise and the dynamic range is great as well as contrast the telephoto lens performs respectably, colors and contrast solidly match the main camera and detail is very good, the 4K recording from the ultra-wide camera is excellent It is detailed and noise-free and the clips have spot-on colors and Wide dynamic range, the electronic stabilization is always on and is as good as ever, there’s a new mode called enhanced stabilization.
